- An accounting of current reports and reporting processes, including an assessment of the potential for automating manual processes
Requirements Gathering
The Business Intelligence team will collect current and future analytical and reporting needs
- A list of unmet reporting needs
- A framework for organizing reports
- A preliminary list of key performance indicators (KPIs) for high-level decision support
- List of top-level KPIs
- Identify owners for each KPI
- Define components and metrics for each KPI
- Determine the update frequency needed for each KPI

The information gathered is reviewed and analysed to determine the data warehouse and reporting specifications
